Vacation’s & Conferences – Are you planning ahead?

It seems that vacationing has officially kicked off as per usual for this time of year things slow down a bit in the office in regards to client work as everyone is out of town. If there is one thing I could impart on my vacationing clients and subscribers to this newsletter is that this is not the time to cut back on your support team – whoever they might be. While you’re on vacation your clients, your emails, websites and all those other daily tasks you have on your to do list still need tended to. The point of taking a vacation is not worrying about those things, but you also do not want to leave them unattended – team up. So I recommend pre-planning and having each team member responsible for covering every aspect of your business while you’re away. This is where having your policies and procedures manuals will come in handy as you can delegate and they can refer to the manuals for tasks that they may not normally do. Be sure to leave one person in charge and who will know the difference between urgent and not urgent and when to contact you and when not to while you’re away.

While some of the client load has slowed down I have still been busy working on other projects that RVO is collaborating on with our joint venture partners. We are presently putting together a conference guide called ConfGPS and working on a scalable business concept called ConfBus. Both of these ideas came out the need for busy entrepreneurs who are spending their hard earned money going to conferences and not getting the most bang for their buck. So we’ve put together ConfGPS to help guide you with more than 150 fantastic tips and tricks to help you before, during, and after conference make those connections and make them count. We’re also working on a private venture right now that will hopefully become a reality soon and we can bring to the public. It’s going to be great and I can’t wait to share it with you.

I will email those of you who will be affected with the dates of this trip and we will put together a plan of action to make sure you are takin care of in my absence.
