Wow! What an amazing ride! This month I celebrate 3 years in business. I’m so excited to be here today and I’m not sure words can describe my excitement.

For those of you who know me or have read a little about me you probably already know I had a rocky start. Coming through some major life changes, and needing to make some really tough decisions about our future. My children and I deserved a better life! ‘Tis The Season For Taxes

Like it or not, tax season 2013 is here. Let’s get one thing out of the way: paying taxes isn’t fun. It doesn’t suddenly become more fun once you own your own business—in fact, it usually becomes a lot more complicated. I’m a tax professional and I hate paying taxes as much as you do. But it’s not optional (at least the IRS doesn’t see it that way). There are three things to keep in mind to make tax season as easy as possible this year: (1) keep good records; (2) choose the right tax professional to help you, and (3) deal with any problems as soon as they arise. Current Industry Trends: Big Data

Data, data, data – we keep hearing how important it is to track this and track that, and let’s face it most do not have a clue how to do this. If you don’t have big money or first hand knowledge of how to track your stats then this can be a difficult task. I know as I struggle with tracking my stats. I do track, but it’s difficult at best. Software Pick: Intervals Online

Intervals Online is a really great project management tool which I have been testing for a few months now. The learning curve is not that steep so even newbies can be sure to pick it up. Intervals offers you’re typical project management regarding projects, milestones, and tasks related to client and in house work as well as team management.

Some of it’s other features include real time – time tracking. If you’re team members are logged in and working on a project you can view active timers to see who is working, what their working on, and how much time they’ve put in thus far. Read more…
