A word from Rhonda…

You’ll notice The VA Source is a little more streamlined this month. This is the new plan of action on the advice of expert marketer Robert Caruso I have decided to take the less is more approach. I may be doing more streamlining down the road, but for now, we are going to start here. If there is something that you’d really like to see me  keep or get rid of please don’t hesitate to let me know. I always welcome your suggestions. Looking forward to another great month and I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Robert Caruso of @bundlepost and Alyssa Avant of @alyssaavant for all their fabulous support and guidance these last few weeks!!!

VA Monthly Tips

Q: How do I know if the VA / virtual assistant is working if I cannot see them?

A: Remember that your VA / virtual assistant is a business owner and as such will treat your projects as if they are their very own projects. A VA has a huge stake in how they perform their work. If a VA does not perform work or satisfactory work then the VA’s / virtual assistant’s own business reputation is damaged and therefore is highly motivated to complete all projects in a timely and professional manner.

Software Pick: Google Voice

One of the things that many small businesses needs is a phone system that works and gives a professional look and feel to their business. Often many small business owners will use their home phones/cell phones. Google Voice gives you a free phone number, which you can personalize. Mine is 513-32RVOVA/513-327-8682, but personalization of the number is not all you can do. You can set it up so that it rings through to all your phones at once. You can create individual voice messages for business and personal. If a client calls in then they are directed to my business voicemail, which will have my business message. If a friend or family member calls in then they are directed to my personal voice mail and with a personal message. This helps to bring professionalism into your business.
