Make more, do more weekly tip #81

Hello and welcome back to Make more, do more weekly tip #81. This week we are covering our series of tips on “Building & Branding Your Social Media Cover Pages,” and tip #5 is…

Your Facebook Business Page

When it comes to using Facebook for business, as discussed in our previous series, you need to have a complete profile and a clear message. The first step to doing so is to create a business page from your Facebook profile and then choose a category. So whether you’re selling products or services or promoting your brand, you can choose the corresponding option and let others know.

The next step is choosing a profile pic. You want to be sure that the image is either your logo or a nice, professional photo of yourself. The fourth step is to describe your business. Be sure that your description is thorough so that others understand what it is that you do and that it is keyword-rich, so that it’s easier to be found in a relative search.

If you have a clear brand name, then filling this information in should be quite easy. But, if you don’t, take some time to decide, as this will represent your business or brand. The fifth step is choosing a memorable web address. Finally, you’ll need to choose a cover photo. A good Facebook page isn’t complete without a great cover photo, so be sure to choose something relative to what you do.

Be sure to watch sizing on your photos. The profile pic should be 160 pixels by 160 pixels, and the cover photo has to be a minimum of 399 pixels wide (most standard photos are fine) and work best if sized to 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels high.
