Hello and welcome back to Make more, do more weekly tip #27. We have been covering a series of time management tips.
So far we have covered organization and planning. This week we are covering setting goals.
A goal is not a goal unless it is written down and posted where you see it daily.
To be effective, goals should follow the SMART criteria. They should be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.
Be specific about what your goal is, why you are setting it, and how you will reach it.
Your goals should be measurable. Set short-term milestones and specifics for measuring to help keep you on track.
Are your goals attainable or are you shooting blanks? If you are shooting blanks you will never hit your target. Your goals need to be reachable allowing you to stretch a little.
Being realistic about your goals and ensuring they are a good fit for where you are currently and where you want to go. Be levelheaded to ensure your success.
Your goals should be timely. Set a timeframe to avoid procrastination.
Make a habit of sharing your goals with someone who will hold you accountable. Working with a Virtual Assistant is a great way to help you meet your goals and they can help hold you accountable.
