Ever wonder how to add a “tweet this” button or link to your website?

I’ve used a few different methods and of course there are social sharing plugins that you can use as well, but if you just want the simplest code to add your own tweet this button to exactly the spot you want to add it then this code will help you do that. I created my own “tweet this” button and you can easily create your own as well. If you’d like to use the codes below and or button below please feel free to do so.

To utilize the code below just choose the method you prefer and copy and paste to your website. Then replace relevant info such as your post message, URL, and twitter name with your info.

Another thing you should consider doing is shortening your links. You can easily do this by using a link shortener like Bitly. Click here and sign up for a free account. Then copy and paste your link into the link shortener, and then copy and paste the link Bitly generates into your code below. Now you don’t have to shorten the URL, but I recommend it especially if you have a longer tweet as Twitter doesn’t allow long tweets and if someone wants to retweet that tweet you won’t have much room for retweeting if any. So remember to keep your tweets short and sweet if at all possible.
